When should I call the Practice?

One of the features of the practice phone system is we can access statistics about the number of calls we receive and when they come in. We receive more than a hundred phonecalls every day and there is a consistent pattern of most calls coming in between 09.00 and 10.00 in the morning. This is understandable as patients may be calling to make an appointment for that day. Our busiest time is between 09:00 – 10:00 on Mondays.

When We Are Closed

All doctors participate in a rota for out of hours calls. There is always a clinician based in the local area and on call for emergencies. Telephone NHS24 directly on 111 to access the service or phone your local surgery:

Aultbea: 01445 731221

Gairloch: 01445 712229

After 18.00, before 08.00 and at weekends dial 111 to speak to NHS 24 who can offer advice and nurse based triage before passing the patient on to the local clinician, if required.
